Going Green

Thinking of Going Green?

"Thinking green" has become a mainstream movement. The choices you make when building a home can make almost any floor plan environmentally sound. Product manufacturers, building organizations, and a variety of independent organizations can help make choices for an environmentally friendly home easier!
Some information you just can't ignore...
- In a survey conducted by Better Homes and Gardens: 83% of consumers rated residential energy efficiency as highly important.
- In a survey conducted by McGraw-Hill Construction of NAHB home builders: by the year 2010, between 40% and 50% of the homes built are expected to be green.
- Other research done by McGraw-Hill Construction found that: "In addition to lower operating and maintenance costs, environmental concerns and their family's health was a significant motivating factor for buying a green home."
